In the first ever guidance published by UNESCO on the usage of Generative AI for education and learning purposes, they have urged the institutions and organizations for controlling and monitoring the use of such tech strictly.
Matters like the implementation of age restriction and user privacy policies are to be observed in high regards.
The Generative AI chatbot like ChatGPT backed by Microsoft back in the month of November, has now become the fastest growing application in the whole world – which introduced its own set of competitors like Google Bard. GenAI is now going to be the go-to tool for the students!
UNESCO mentioned that,
“Providers of GenAI should be held accountable for supporting moral principles and legitimate goals, protecting intellectual property, upholding ethical standards, and preventing the spread of misinformation and hate speech”.
Amongst the series of guidance that they have published in the form of a 64-pg report – they stressed on the need for an AI curriculum which is going to be government sanctioned for the purpose of education and learning for schools – for all sorts of training.
