OpenAI faces a huge issue. ChatGpt’s traffic now declining according to the analytics firm Similarweb. The worldwide traffic and visits to ChatGpt’s website decreased by 3.2% in August to approximately 1.43 billion.
The stay-on-time of visitors has also decreased on ChatGpt’s website. On an average users spent 8.5 minutes on ChatGpt but that decreased to 7 minutes in August.
Many experts predicted the reason behind the decreasing amount, is school homework help or project help is not in demand right now or some external competitors are rising up, also there are protests against AI are common.
David F. Carr of Similarweb said, “Students seeking homework help appears to be part of the story: the percentage of younger users of the website dropped over the summer and is now starting to bounce back”.
However, ChatGpt is now selling access to its AI models for developers and enterprises directly with the party\neership with Microsoft and making money from it.
